Hilton Business Immersion

A very special project for me!.  The Hilton Business Immersion project was created a while ago. I participated in programming, creating 3D assets, and as a project manager! The virtual reality simulation aimed to develop empathy for high-profile business executives by putting them in the shoes of hotel staff members.  It won several awards and was showcased in one of META's connect events.

You can find more information about this project here:

There is also a cool video of it here:

Sustainable city - San Jose

This project was a virtual tour of Costa Rica's capital, San Jose.  As you biked your way through different parts of the city, you saw how it turned into a "green", sustainable city of the future.  It was a mix of 360 images and videos that turned into a 3D version of themselves, improved by sustainable architecture and a green design.

The real challenge of the project, and my favorite part of it, was building the hardware that connected the bicycles to the headsets.  Through the use of magnetometers and Bluetooth, I managed to send information to the VR app on when and how fast people were pedaling.  This information was used to drive the experience.

Emirates VIP Lounge

One of the most challenging projects I've been a part of.  This was created for Emirates Airlines and the objective of the experience was to turn their VIP Lounge at the Dubai Airport into a virtual reality training facility for staff members.

The project required every single 3D asset to be exactly the same as its real counterpart, a true digital twin. We used laser measuring equipment to help us create the digital version of the entire VIP Lounge.

It took several weeks and trips to Dubai, but we finally made it happen.  It participated in the brainstorming of the project, coding, and worked on avatar animation.  Because of the magnitude of the 3D effort, this was done by a different team.

Hilton Thrive

I have worked on several AR projects, but this was my first, so it brings back many fabulous memories.

Hilton staff members were given a set of cards that, when scanned, showed in AR a type of mindfulness exercise for them to practice.

Cards were interchangeable and collectible, and as they were used, they added health points to the user's account, which they could see on a progression bar that reset at the end of the day.

My journey with XR tech

I've been extremely fortunate to have worked on many types of XR projects. The examples above are just a few that truly stand out, you can also view more XR projects in the other pages of this portfolio. Throughout my journey with virtual and augmented reality, I’ve served as a developer, 3D asset creator, and project manager. Today, I’m mostly focused on strategy and creative brainstorming; however, I still occasionally write code and build small projects to keep my technical skills sharp.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work on projects for Vive headsets, Meta Quest, Pico, and HP (Windows Mixed Reality). I’m always looking for ways to “think outside the headset,” going beyond the in-headset experience by exploring how best to integrate data input and output with other digital and real-world applications.

Here you can see some of my other projects: Click me!

More advanced projects are usually under NDA, so I can't show them.
